The best part of the Camp?

Proceeds from sponsorships and optional online donations will be split between two incredible organizations: Boys & Girls Clubs of America and the Rachael Ray Yum-o! scholarship for students to attend Florida International University’s Chaplin School of Hospitality & Tourism Management.

Boys & Girls Clubs of America

A national organization of local chapters which provide voluntary after-school programs for young people. Boys & Girls Clubs provide a safe, affordable place for kids and teens during critical out-of-school time. They offer life-changing programs and services to youth, especially those who need us most, that enables them to reach their full potential as productive, caring and responsible citizens. Annually, Boys & Girls Clubs serve 4.6 million young people, in 4,738 Club facilities all across America and on U.S. military installations worldwide, through membership and community outreach, including:

  • 1,946 school-based Clubs
  • 497 BGCA-affiliated Youth Centers on U.S. military installations worldwide
  • 1,104 Clubs in rural areas
  • 284 Clubs in public housing
  • 205 Clubs on Native lands, making Boys & Girls Clubs the largest youth development provider to Native communities

Rachael Ray’s Yum-o! Scholarship

A newly-founded scholarship fund at the Chaplin School of Hospitality & Tourism Management at Florida International University (FIU), will offer students the opportunity to further their ambitions in the kitchen and beyond at the Number One hospitality management school in the Southeast United States.

  • FIU is the 4th largest institution in the US.
  • FIU is the largest Hispanic serving institution and the largest Majority Minority in the Country.
  • FIU is proud to be ranked No. 1 in the nation in awarding bachelor’s degrees to Hispanics and African Americans. (Diverse: Issues in Higher Education).
  • FIU is 15 in the world and No. 2 in the U.S. on SDG 1, No Poverty, which measures universities’ research on poverty and their support for poor students and citizens in the local community.
  • The FIU Chaplin School is No. 1 in the country in awarding hospitality management bachelor’s degrees to Hispanic and African-American students.
  • 89% of students at the Chaplin School identify as minority.
